Linguistics This concerns the application of the activity modality construct to communication and integrational linguistics, a view on language worked out by the Oxfors linguist Roy Harris. This view on communication provides a missing piece in my work. The basic assumptions of integrational linguistics coincide extremely well with the activity modality construct. Obviously, linguistics is outside my competence. However, my intention is that coordination seen as the activity modalities may contribute to understanding the coordinative aspects of language.
